a wedding under the oaks

It was a beautiful summer day as I drove into Jack London Park. This is one of my favorite local parks. It’s is a fantastic combination of historical sites, great hiking, and best of all, a beautiful wedding venue! 

I parked and watched the hikers preparing next to their cars. I got out to do the same, but with a different type of gear. On this late July day, I was preparing to document the wedding of Rob and Robin. These two would soon be getting married under some of Jack London Park’s old oak trees.

After a touching ceremony filled with kind words from loved ones, the wedding headed over to a nearby winery for a tour and reception. Benziger Family Winery is a stunning property with rolling hills of vines as well as a beautiful organic flower garden. The wedding party took a tour of the property as our guide shared all about the winery’s history and what makes their wine special. The evening concluded with a quiet dinner on the tree-covered patio. 

Simple yet perfect. Congratulations Rob and Robin!
