Photographing baby Gabriella was an especially meaningful session for me. I first met her parents, Melissa and Chad, at a restaurant in downtown Sonoma to go over the details of becoming their wedding photographer. In the process of planning their wedding, Melissa and I quickly became friends. It was exciting news when I heard she was pregnant, since I knew she had been waiting for this little one to arrive for some time now. I already knew that Melissa was going to be an amazing mom, and I couldn’t wait to meet her little one and see her in this new role.
Gabriella is definitely a daddy’s girl already, Chad was the baby whisperer during our session and knew just how to calm her fussing. It’s amazing watching your friends become parents, seeing how they jump into these new roles caring for a beautiful tiny human.
Of course we had to feature a racing tire in the session since Melissa is a badass drag racer on the weekends. She even has her own racing team, Girl Power Racing. Gabriella has such a strong, amazing mom to be her role model as she grows up!
