Rainy Day Session
There is a feeling of pure joy that fills my heart when I get an email from a previous wedding couple to work together again to document their growing family.
What made this session even more special was that their wedding took place in the backyard of their newly purchased home. To have photographs in this space where they began their marriage to now when they have two children was so special.
While not everyone has a story like this to document, there are so many important reasons that an in home session could be the most treasured way to photograph your family.
For example, if you have kiddos who are on the shy side, or just act more like their true selves when they’re in their own space, this style allows them time and space to warm up. Having a full two hours for us to hang out in the place where they feel most comfortable allows them to adjust to someone new and gives me an easy way to connect over the things they love.
If you’ve ever been curious about an in home session, 2 hours is a perfect place to begin. It’s just enough time to get to know each other and capture a few activities. We can split the hours between outside and inside time or just stay cozy.
It’s also perfect for anything the weather throws our way!
