Imaging USA 2015

February 24, 2015

Hi everyone! What a crazy month it has been, lots of planning and creative juices flowing. But I’m getting ahead of myself; first I have to share with you my travels at the beginning of February.

On January 31st I caught a 6am flight to Nashville to participate in my first Imaging USA convention. I was excited at the potential of learning new techniques and ideas to enhance my photography and business. As each of the classes ended, it was tough to resist the urge to break out my laptop and start brainstorming these concepts into my own work. There were so many inspiring photographers present who were happy to share the things they had learned in their own creative paths.

I also had the opportunity to attend the expo where I could experience a series of new products to showcase the images that I create for my clients. One of my favorite discoveries was how many companies integrate natural wood into their products, some of the options even included reclaimed barn wood and Beetle Kill Wood for more eco friendly options. I am so excited to share these with you and will be creating blog posts in the future as the samples arrive at my studio.

The trip was so much more of a success than I had even imagined. Not only did I learn a colossal amount of new information to enhance my business but also got to reconnect with a college friend and chat with other professionals from across the nation. I arrived home ready to jump into action creating beautiful images to turn into art with the new vendors I had chosen.
